Federico Faccio is conducting this project with the goal of creating a multi-modal digital corpus of the Quechuan language Quichua Santiagueño (glottocode: sant1432) spoken in the Argentine province of Santiago del Estero. Despite relatively large numbers of speakers (approx. 60’000) the language is classified as threatened (AES Glottoscope), with hardly any documentation or (modern) descriptive work available.
